After defeating the rival party,
It was then that Orsaan notices that the other three sarcophagi depict imagery related to Ioun, Moradin, and Pelor respectively. The last, labeled as belonging to Sefgar and etched with holy symbols of Pelor, had its lid removed, and the occupant’s skull was missing. The disturbed sarcophagus exuded an evil aura, and Orsaan knew that if the missing skull were recovered the curse and the corruption would be cleansed.
The group thanks *Quarfein Chessirin for his timely assistance, but dismisses him.
The adventurers decide to continue through the east door. Seeing only darkness beyond, Orsaan activates and throws a sunrod into the room. The group is met by a couple of mummies, two swarms of scarabs, and a flaming skull. They make quick work of the enemy, and check out their new surroundings. Tobi finds a couple of secret doors into a secret room and secret burial chamber. Aacorn wipes some moss from the walls to find a mural depicting glorious battles, given him a chance to impart some knowledge of Gardmore Abbey’s past crusades.
Inside the secret room Orsaan finds a mural depicting Bahamut as a dracolich, and three dead bodies lying on the floor nearby with no visible cause of death.
The party decided to spend the night in the secret room, knowing it would be safe. Tobi is claustrophobic, so he sleeps among roots dangling from the ceiling in the previous room in the crypt.
